About Us
Akyra started in January, 2026.
At the time, we were just looking for pieces we actually wanted to wear, but could not really find in one place.
A lot of the stuff we liked came from smaller designers, mostly based in Asia. Especially Japan. The way people dress there felt different. Less about trends, more about how it fits into your everyday life.
That stuck with us.
How it started
So we started putting things together ourselves. Not everything, just pieces that felt right.
We work with independent designers who are doing their own thing. No big names, no mass production mindset. Just talented people making clothes with a clear idea behind it.
A lot of what we like comes from places that do things a bit differently.
That is what we try to bring here.
What we want to do
Our goal is simple. We want to bring together pieces we actually like and make them available worldwide.
At the same time, we want to give small independent designers a bigger platform and support work that is not built around mass production.
