About Us
AKYRA started in January 2026 with a simple frustration: we kept finding individual pieces we loved, but never one place that brought them all together.
We were drawn to oversized silhouettes, strong graphics, detailed denim and clothing that felt more personal than the pieces filling most mainstream stores.
Japanese street style was an early influence, but it also led us towards smaller and emerging designers across Asia who were creating their own worlds through clothing.
How It Started
The problem was that many of these labels were difficult to discover or order from outside Asia. So we decided to build the kind of store we had been looking for ourselves.
We started small, choosing pieces one by one. Not because they followed the latest trend, but because they had a clear identity and felt worth wearing.
A lot of what inspires us comes from people and places that approach fashion differently.
AKYRA is our way of bringing those ideas together.
What We Look For
We do not work with every designer or add products simply to make the store look bigger.
Before featuring a label, we look at the originality of its designs, the quality of its materials and construction, the fit of the clothing and the idea behind the collection. Every designer should bring something different to AKYRA.
Some pieces are louder. Others are more understated. What connects them is that they feel considered rather than copied.
We want to offer clothing that can become part of your wardrobe for longer than one trend cycle—pieces you can style differently, wear repeatedly and make completely your own.
What We Want to Build
Our goal is to make emerging Asian designers easier to discover and their work more accessible to people around the world.
At the same time, we want to give independent labels a larger platform without removing the identity that made their work interesting in the first place.
AKYRA is still growing, and we are building it carefully. We would rather offer a smaller selection of pieces we genuinely believe in than fill the store with clothing that does not belong here.
We are not trying to give everyone the same uniform. We are here to help you discover something unexpected and turn it into something personal.
